About Me

I am a counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Oklahoma.I have also completed 4 levels of BRIEF Solution Focused Therapy and I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work, offering compassionate, thoughtful support to individuals navigating life’s challenges.

I am a mother of four grown children. My oldest son is low-functioning autistic, which has given me deep personal and professional experience working with children and adults with special needs. This has shaped my understanding of advocacy, patience, resilience, and the importance of meeting people where they are.

For the past 18 months, I have worked at an International School as a mental health counselor, supporting teenagers with anxiety, depression, self-harm, ADHD, grief, stress and time management difficulties, relationship problems, and the unique challenges connected to relocation, frequent transitions, and expatriate life. I am particularly passionate about helping young people develop coping skills, emotional resilience, and a strong sense of self during times of change.

Having grown up in England, I lived in multiple states across the United States, as well as South Korea, Italy, and Germany, I have a strong appreciation for cultural diversity and the complexities of adapting to new environments. My husband served in the military for 11 years, and I understand firsthand the emotional impact of military life, frequent moves, and adjusting to new countries and cultures.

At the heart of my work is a genuine love for helping people move toward their best life. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood, empowered, and encouraged to grow. When I am not working, I enjoy traveling, painting, reading, and continuing to explore the world and the people in it.
